Ovolearning, the training platform of Ovoclinic and Ovobank, will be present for another year in the third edition of the University Specialization Diploma in Human Assisted Reproduction, organized by the Torrecárdenas University Hospital along with the University of Almería (UAL) Faculty of Health Sciences (UAL) and in which collaborate: ASEBIR, EMB, DIBIMED and Ovoclinic. Part of the Ovolearning team of professionals will be providing, in an online form, some of the material and subject matter related to assisted reproduction.
Ovoclinic – a group of assisted reproduction clinics – is formed by a team that brings together medical professionals with more than 20 years of experience in reproductive medicine and embryology: a highly qualified and renown team with international work experience in countries such as Spain, Italy and the United States and a broad knowledge of infertility treatments and complex cases.
This university specialization is directed towards graduates in Medicine and Surgery, Biology, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology. The postgraduate management team comprises Miguel Angel Vilches Ferrón (clinical embryologist and head of the Human Assisted Reproduction laboratories at the university hospital Maternal Infantil de Torrecárdenas) and Carmen María Rodríguez López (Department of Nursing Sciences, Physiotherapy and Medicine, University of Almería).
- Acquisition of skills in different Human Assisted Reproduction Techniques (Credits; 17.3, Duration: 130 hours).
- Advanced training in treatments, cellular and molecular biology, immunology, genetics of Human Assisted Reproduction, including research methodology, metabolomics and embryonic development, bioethics, psychology and legal aspects (Credits: 25.6, Duration: 192 hours).
The postgraduate course starts in October and finishes approximately June 2024, when the student can put into practice all they have learnt in the theoretical classes.
PRACTICAL TRAINING IN THE OVOCLINIC LABORATORY
This postgraduate course, now in its third year, has a maximum number of 25 students, so that reduced group sizes of up to 5 people can be achieved for the practical training. The training will be multimodal (online and face-to-face) with 42.9 ECTS, with a theory block of 192 hours and an on-site practical block of 130 hours.
Those students who wish to, can realize their practical training at Ovoclinic Marbella, one of the most cutting edge group of clinics of our time. IVF, andrology and research laboratories, completely equipped to be able to perform any assisted reproduction procedure or techniques make up the Ovoclinic facilities, which have been recognized with the certifications of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and UNE 179007:2013 Quality Management Systems for Assisted Reproduction Laboratories, accredited by the prestigious certifier Bureau Veritas.
