Ovoclinic-Ovobank presents new advances in egg donation at the ASEBIR Congress 2025

ASEBIR Congress 2025

From November 12 to 14, 2025, Barcelona will host a new edition of the National Congress of the Association for the Study of Reproductive Biology (ASEBIR), a key event for professionals driving innovation in assisted reproduction.

This year, Ovoclinic-Ovobank actively participates in the congress with two scientific presentations that reflect its commitment to research, excellence, and continuous improvement of fertility treatments.

Validation of a Universal Oocyte Vitrification Thawing Protocol

The first presentation, ‘Validation of a Universal Oocyte Thawing Protocol Regardless of the Commercial Vitrification System Used’, proposes an innovative solution to one of the most common technical challenges in assisted reproduction laboratories: the diversity of available vitrification systems.

The Ovoclinic-Ovobank team has developed and validated a universal thawing protocol, applicable to oocytes vitrified with different commercial systems, maintaining optimal survival and embryo development rates.

These results represent a step forward towards the standardization and efficiency of thawing processes, offering greater flexibility to laboratories and ensuring the highest quality of donated oocytes.

Does Donor or Recipient Age Affect Pregnancy Rates?

The second presentation, ‘Does Donor Age Affect Pregnancy Rates in an Oocyte Donation Program?’, delves into one of the most debated topics in egg donation programs: the relationship between age and reproductive success.

The study analyzes the results of hundreds of donation cycles, evaluating both the donor’s and recipient’s age. The data shows that within the usual age range of donors compared to recipients, no significant differences are observed in clinical pregnancy rates.

These findings confirm that, thanks to rigorous donor selection processes and the quality of oocytes, treatment outcomes remain consistent, providing peace of mind and confidence to patients who choose egg donation.

Science with a Human Face

For Ovoclinic-Ovobank, participating in ASEBIR 2025 means not only sharing results but also highlighting the human and scientific effort behind each treatment.

“Every advancement in the laboratory translates into an opportunity for many people who dream of starting a family,” says the team. “Events like ASEBIR are essential for continuing to learn, exchanging experiences, and progressing together as a scientific community,” they conclude.

Commitment to Research and Innovation in Assisted Reproduction

Ovoclinic-Ovobank’s participation in ASEBIR 2025 reaffirms its commitment to applied research, scientific quality, and the continuous improvement of fertility treatments. Every project developed in its laboratories has one goal: to transform scientific knowledge into real opportunities for people.

Innovation, continuous education, and collaboration among teams are fundamental pillars of their daily work. Thanks to this dedication, the advancements presented at congresses like ASEBIR not only enrich the scientific community but also translate into more personalized, effective, and hopeful care for those who trust assisted reproduction.
