Statistical analysis of a clinical trial using free software
Overview
This training activity aims to present this user-friendly, free-distribution statistical software, which allows users to apply a huge number of statistical methodologies. With an eminently practical approach, users will be able to draw conclusions statistically supported by the information provided by the data from their experiments.
It is well known in the field of applied research the need to manage powerful statistical analysis tools that allow to extract the maximum possible information from the available data.
To do this, R or Python allow to tackle this task successfully. However, a solid training is necessary (although it is affordable and highly recommended for those who want to apply state-of-the-art statistical methodologies) to take advantage of these tools.
To overcome this difficulty, programs have recently appeared that, using R underneath, make the application of statistical methodologies user-friendly and do not require programming.
Such is the case of JASP (https://jasp-stats.org/) and Jamovi (https://www.jamovi.org/) which, apart from being endorsed by renowned scientists, are in continuous evolution and expansion. In addition, they have a large number of analyses available that allow them to compete head-to-head with commercial software.
Students may withdraw from the contracted courses under certain conditions. If the withdrawal is due to force majeure, the full amount paid for the “Course or Training Payment” will be refunded. It is crucial to communicate and justify this situation as soon as possible, specifically within a “30-day withdrawal period,” provided that the program has not started, no teaching materials have been received, and there are fewer than 4 enrolled students. OVOLEARNING reserves the right to cancel the course if there are fewer than 4 students enrolled. In such a case, the student will be notified 30 days before the start of the course.
