Genetic Analysis Methodologies
Overview
Genetic analyses are crucial in the field of assisted reproduction as they allow for the identification of potential genetic abnormalities that could be passed on to offspring. This aids healthcare professionals in selecting healthy embryos for transfer, increasing the chances of a successful pregnancy and reducing the risk of hereditary genetic diseases. Additionally, genetic analyses can also provide valuable information about individuals’ fertility and help tailor assisted reproduction treatments to enhance their outcomes.
This course explores the various genetic analysis methodologies currently used to decipher the information encoded in our DNA. From PCR, which marked a qualitative leap in Molecular Biology laboratories, to the recently introduced single-molecule sequencing (also known as next-next), a review of both classic and cutting-edge methodologies that facilitate genetic material analysis will be conducted.
Students may withdraw from the contracted courses under certain conditions. If the withdrawal is due to force majeure, the full amount paid for the “Course or Training Payment” will be refunded. It is crucial to communicate and justify this situation as soon as possible, specifically within a “30-day withdrawal period,” provided that the program has not started, no teaching materials have been received, and there are fewer than 4 enrolled students. OVOLEARNING reserves the right to cancel the course if there are fewer than 4 students enrolled. In such a case, the student will be notified 30 days before the start of the course.
